AWT4 – Other Possibilities

Below is a list of potential art projects we could add to the course. Some of them are definitely on my list, while others are just possibilities. We can’t do everything, but I’d like to know what interests you.

• Conceptual Art “book” (see Yoko Ono)
• Mixed media work involving prints e.g. sculpture with photo prints as a major element
• Liquid photo emulsion applied to materials like wood, made into sculpture or jewellery
• Turn the field house into a piece of Pop or Op Art (class project)
• Commercial shoot, as for a magazine, concentrating on lighting & composition
• Street Mural - Stencil made from a real photo, high-contrasted in Photoshop. Blow up using Tech printer? E.g. Banksy. Apply with chalk or paint to a sidewalk, parking lot or wall
• Flash techniques for randomly dissolving images & text to create dreamlike surrealist art
• Rube Goldberg machine
• “splash” and other effects in Pshop
• Political Art – investigate a social condition, create a collage
• Comic Art
