Yearbook – What to Do!

Now that you’ve been assigned pages, you should have lots to do every period, including…

ü      Planning your sections/pages with section leaders, editors & artistic editors and other staff working on the section

ü      Keeping on top of the latest plans – you’re responsible for knowing what’s going on!

ü      Making lists & timelines for getting things done on schedule

ü      Planning & executing photo shoots, interviews and other information gathering

ü      Taking miscellaneous photos that could be used anywhere in the book

ü      Sorting, thinning out and enhancing your photos (as soon as you download)

ü      Going through the photo collection to be aware of everything that’s available (and missing) there

ü      Designing your pages

ü      Practicing page creation

ü      Practicing Photoshop techniques such as merging, selecting and collaging

ü      Collecting information for your pages (e.g. names, stories, stats, etc.)

ü      Uploading photos to YearTech Online (be sure to mark them as USED)

ü      Creating your pages in YearTech Online

ü      Proofing, getting feedback on your pages

ü      Looking at other pages to give feedback and stay in touch with how the book is developing

ü      Other random jobs that need doing

ü      Make daily journal entries and weekly plans
