10 Applied Math

This course enables students to consolidate their understanding of linear relations and extend their problem-solving and algebraic skills through investigation. Students will develop and graph equations in analytic geometry; solve and apply linear systems; and explore and interpret graphs of quadratic relations. Students will investigate similar triangles, the trigonometry of right triangles, and the measurement of three-dimensional figures. (Education Curriculum Document, 2005)

In this course, students will explore different types of functions and function transformations, and investigate quadratic, exponential, and trigonometric functions. Students will also solve rational expressions, apply trigonometry, investigate sequences and series, and explore financial applications.
